I am jazz singer, professional musician and bandleader, and I believe music has the ability to transport the mind, elate the soul and bring both joy and sorrow to the heart. Music surpasses the differences we find in colour, creed, class, culture and country, and unites us all, as listeners. As a singer, I love telling stories through song and connecting people through this incredible power of music. 

Having studied vocal technique and approach in my teens with Bob Tasman-Smith (Julie Anthony, Nathan Foley, Cameron Daddo), I went on to study under the tutelage of some Australia’s most renown musicians, most notably Joy Yates (Van Morrison, Chaka Khan, Cat Stevens, Gladys Knight), Dave MacRae (Buddy Rich, Ronnie Scott, Cliff Richard), Sean Coffin (The Coffin Brothers, Intrinsonic), Greg Coffin (The Coffin Brothers, Java Quartet) and Edoardo Santoni (The Velvet Fog).

In 2007, I graduated from the Australian Institute of Music (AIM) with a Bachelor of Music (Hons). As a featured vocalist and bandleader within Sydney’s live-music scene, and a former member of the acclaimed jazz-gospel vocal group, Jubilation, led by Joy Yates and Dave MaCrae, I have worked with artists such as Leo Sayer, Jessica Mauboy, Paulini, Delta Goodrem and Jimmy Barnes.

Taking my music abroad, I have also entertained audiences in Indonesia and Hong Kong, most notably at the ‘Braga Jazz Night - Night at Old Shanghai’ and ‘Jazz & Coffee’ events in Bandung, Indonesia, and in jazz bars such as DarkSide (rated no. 9 in Asia’s top 50 bars 2023), Chez Trente and Time Park Lounge, Hong Kong.

I am also passionate music educator, teaching vocals and piano to students of all ages, from school-aged children to adult professionals and retirees.
